At Honeycomb Group, our customers are at the heart of everything we do – and we believe that the best way to improve our homes and services is by listening to the people who live in them every day. That’s why we’re so pleased to introduce one of the newest members of our Customer Involvement Team, Graham, a resident of Lime Tree Court in Meir.
Graham, 70, brings a lifetime of knowledge, passion and people-first experience to the team. Many of you might already know him as a friendly face around Lime Tree Court – he’s someone others naturally turn to for support, and he’s always been happy to help. Now, he’s stepping into a more formal role, making sure your voices are heard at every level of Honeycomb Group.
“I’ve been a bricklayer and worked in housing for the council,” Graham shared. “But most importantly, I care about people. I want to make things better and easier for others.”
Over the years, Graham has worked for himself as a bricklayer, for a firm pioneering disabled adaptations, and then for Stoke-on-Trent City Council, helping to make homes more accessible. His experience is backed by a deep understanding of the challenges people face, including from his own personal life, his son is deaf, and making homes work for people with different needs is something close to his heart.
He moved to Lime Tree Court when it first opened and instantly felt part of a warm, welcoming community. Since then, he’s become an advocate for his neighbours, helping people raise concerns and get answers. Now, through our involvement groups and panels, he’s excited to take that role even further.
We're thrilled to have Graham on board, not just because of his experience, but because of the compassion, optimism and energy he brings. He’s a brilliant example of how our customers can help shape the way we work, making services better, more responsive, and more inclusive for everyone.
You can get involved too
Graham’s story is inspiring, and it’s proof that every customer’s experience matters.
You don’t need years of housing experience to make a difference. If you care about your home, your community and want to help us improve, we’d love to hear from you. Whether you want to join a panel, share your feedback, or just find out more – your voice is important, and it really can lead to change.
Together, we can build better services, better homes, and better places to live.
