At Honeycomb Group, we believe in creating more than just homes—we’re committed to building thriving, connected communities where people feel supported and valued. That’s why we’re incredibly proud of the work being done by our support provider, Revival, to address loneliness and isolation in Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire.

This month, Revival are launching their befriending service, which makes a real difference in the lives of lonely and isolated people, and helps to connect them with volunteer befrienders offering face to face support, their listening ear, and fostering meaningful relationships and a sense of belonging that helps people truly feel at home in their community. 

Before they roll it out to customers, they’re looking to recruit a team of befriending volunteers supported by a volunteer befriending lead.

Befrienders are asked to spare a couple of hours each week to provide regular, face-to-face companionship and social support to individuals who may feel isolated or lonely. By building a friendly and supportive relationship, befriending volunteers will improve customers well-being, boost their confidence, and encourage them to engage more with their community.  

The befriending service is simple yet powerful. volunteers commit just a couple of hours each week to meet with someone who may be feeling isolated or alone, providing a listening ear and friendly conversation. For those who benefit from the service, this connection can be life-changing—helping to build confidence, reduce isolation, and create happier homes.

It’s a shining example of Revival’s mission to help people live independently in their homes for as long as possible.
