We're proud to launch our brand-new supported housing scheme, giving young people with care experience the support and guidance they need to work towards a new chapter.
The new service, located in Stoke-on-Trent, will provide a home for 12 young people and marks a significant expansion of our existing Young Person’s Service, which already provides safe accommodation and practical, person-centred support, to help young people live independently, build life skills and work towards their next chapter.
This second 24/7 scheme has been launched in direct response to rising demand across the city - and demonstrates our ongoing commitment to investing in the future of local young people.
Alongside 12 self-contained flats, there’s lots of outdoor space, a communal kitchen to develop cooking and budgeting skills and a private room for one-to-one meetings, life skill sessions and partnership-working too.
Steph Hughes, Operations Manager at Honeycomb Group, said: “This new service is an incredible step forward. We know that young people often face unique challenges when it comes to housing - whether that’s instability, lack of support networks, or navigating the transition to adulthood.
“Having a dedicated space for them, staffed by people who understand their needs, gives them the best possible chance to feel safe, develop life skills, and build confidence.
“Being a teenager and then a young adult is tough enough. When you add the uncertainty and difficult times that our young people have already faced, it’s even harder. That’s why for us, this isn’t just about having a roof over your head - it’s about having a future to aim for, and the right people by your side to help you get there.
"We want our young people to feel excited and ready for a brand-new chapter and a confident future, where they can achieve anything they want to.”

The service is one of three new property investments secured by us across North Staffordshire this year – totalling 25 new homes. This includes five safe accommodation apartments for individuals and families fleeing domestic abuse, and a six-bed city centre scheme offering semi-independent living for people overcoming homelessness.
The homes also see the continuation of our ground-breaking partnership work with socially minded local landlords and developers, breathing life back into unused buildings, including within conservation areas.
Kerry Birtles, Executive Director of Support and Wellbeing at Honeycomb Group, added: “This is a significant investment for the Group and a major milestone in how we respond to the needs of our communities. The addition of this new Young Person’s Service is a reflection of the growing demand for age-specific support – and our determination to meet that demand.
“It also demonstrates our dedication to regeneration across Stoke-on-Trent, transforming empty buildings into homes that change lives, working alongside our valued socially-minded partner landlord and developers. It’s part of a real commitment to invest in the future of our city and its people - especially our young people, who deserve every opportunity to thrive.”
