We’re proud to share that our homelessness support charity, Concrete, has been awarded £1,000 from the TopCashback Sustainability Fund to help improve the outdoor space at one of its supported housing schemes for young people.
This funding will go directly towards creating a welcoming, green space where young people who have experienced homelessness can relax, connect, and feel part of a community. Plans include adding planters, flowers, benches, BBQs and other communal features to transform the space into somewhere that not only looks better – but feels better too.
These improvements will support residents' mental, emotional and physical wellbeing, providing a calm, inviting environment that encourages social connection, boosts confidence and supports personal growth.
At Honeycomb Group, we know that building thriving futures for our customers and communities means looking beyond housing alone. It’s about creating environments where people feel safe, supported and able to grow – and that’s exactly what this project with Concrete is all about.
This kind of work directly supports our strategic aim of helping to create thriving customers and communities. By working together with partners like TopCashback, we’re able to invest in meaningful changes that make everyday life better for the people we support. Whether it’s through improving a shared garden, adding a bench to sit and chat, or creating a space that simply feels more like home – small changes can have a big impact.
The TopCashback Sustainability Fund is focused on supporting local projects that prioritise sustainability, wellbeing, and community connection – values we share and embed throughout our work. We’re proud to see this partnership helping to bring those goals to life.
Concrete’s Operations Manager, Dean Marsh said: “We’re incredibly grateful to Top Cashback for this funding, which will have a huge impact on our young people. The outdoor space will not only provide a place to relax and socialize but will also help to improve mental health and foster a sense of belonging. This project is an essential part of our commitment to supporting our residents and providing them with the best possible opportunities to build a better future.”
TopCashback Chief Executive and Co-Founder, Oliver Ragg said: "We are delighted to have awarded Concrete financial support from the TopCashback Sustainability Fund. As a company, we are extremely passionate about our community, and strive to use our platform to reflect and amplify our core values of inclusivity, sustainability and social responsibility.”
"Our Sustainability Fund is dedicated to championing initiatives that not only improve the environment, but also enhance the wellbeing of Staffordshire residents. Concrete’s project perfectly aligns with these goals, and we’re proud to have contributed to a movement that is driving real positive change in a small and simple way. We look forward to seeing how Concrete’s work flourishes in the months ahead.”
The project will be delivered over the next 12 months, giving us the time and flexibility to carefully plan every detail and ensure the final space truly meets the needs of the young people who call it home. We’re excited to share updates as the work progresses and to see the positive impact it brings – not only for residents but for the wider community too.
