Honeycomb Group further strengthens non-exec Board with housing and social care sector recruits

We’re excited to welcome two new recruits, to further strengthen housing and social care expertise within our Honeycomb Group Board.

New members Tim Edwards and Tony Muir will join our organisation in September and play a vital role in setting strategic direction and supporting teams in the delivery of Thriving Futures, our new Corporate Plan.

Experienced Senior Consultant and Director Tim has extensive experience of high-profile appointments in the public and private sectors – including Stoke-on-Trent City Council and PM Training. He has also held roles within the third sector, maximising the social impact of programmes and supporting the growth of social businesses.

New board member Tony is a Chartered Surveyor, with over 30 years’ experience in Property Asset Management across the Public, Private and Social Housing Sectors. He has also held roles operating at Board and Executive Management Level for over 10 years  and currently runs his own consultancy providing asset management expertise to local authorities and housing providers.

Both Tim and Tony joined our Corporate Plan launch event in July, where they met colleagues, volunteers and customers from across the Group. Following the event, Tim shared his enthusiasm ahead of joining in September. He said:

“It was fantastic to join the Corporate Plan event and see first-hand the impact Honeycomb Group services are having on local people and places. Being a Newcastle-under-Lyme resident myself, it was the community focused support services that attracted me to the Group and I hope to play a part in their growth and development.”

Tony added: “It really is an exciting time for Honeycomb Group. It has been wonderful meeting the Housing and Property teams, and seeing their excitement and commitment to the Thriving Futures plan.

“I am delighted to be joining the Group to support them in the development of more happy homes across Staffordshire and neighbouring regions.”

“Their commitment to local places and people is easy to see, and all at Honeycomb Group are delighted to be welcoming them at such an exciting time on our Thriving Futures journey.”
